Cancer Moonshot initiative and AATCLC collaboration to promote the Spiral Up Lite app

The African American Tobacco Control Leadership Council (AATCLC) and the Smoking Cessation Leadership Center (SCLC) of the University of California, San Francisco have joined forces to promote Spiral Up Lite (©2024 EBT, Inc.).

The Spiral Up Lite (©2024 EBT, Inc.) is a FREE innovative mobile app anyone can use to access rapid-acting tools to assist with smoking cessation. The app is based on the neuroscience of Emotional Brain Training (EBT), which has shown long-term effectiveness in treating today’s extreme stress levels, as well as mood and addictive behaviors including smoking.

The AATCLC has worked fearlessly to remove deadly addictive mentholated tobacco products from the market and such policies are being implemented in cities and states across the country. The SCLC is committed to eliminating barriers that reduce access to tobacco treatment. As efforts are being made to decrease the supply of tobacco products, there must also be a focus on increasing support and assistance to help people quit smoking. This collaboration between the AATCLC and SCLC reflects their commitment to supporting the White House Cancer Moonshot Initiative to advance health equity and tailored cessation approaches that address the needs of all communities, especially those that are disproportionately impacted by tobacco.
