Los Angeles County and the SCLC continued its partnership to address nicotine addiction, help recovery/treatment and mental health agencies go tobacco free and provide smoking cessation services to behavioral health care consumers and staff. This grant began on Sep. 30, 2012 and ended on Sep. 29, 2014.
SCLC applauds all Los Angeles County champion agencies for recognizing the importance of addressing tobacco dependence as a major public health issue that impacts the health and wellness of people with mental and addiction disorders.
As part of SCLC’s scope of work, the following were provided to the champions:
Webinars and skills building workshops designed to help champions integrate tobacco use policies and practices into programs and services.
In-person technical assistance visits
Monthly phone calls to provide resources and assistance
