Approaches to Promoting Medicaid Tobacco Cessation Coverage: Promising Practices and Lessons Learned

This report from the American Lung Association looks at five states’ approaches to promoting their tobacco cessation benefit for Medicaid enrollees. State public health department staff gave details about key strategies for promoting Medicaid cessation coverage; using partnerships to echo promotion efforts; and understanding the impact a successful promotion campaign can have on a Medicaid program.
