Brenda Howard, MS, LAADAC, CADC, CCS, TTS

Brenda Howard is currently Cessation Section Chief for the Arkansas Department of Health Tobacco Prevention and Cessation Program since 2011. She has over 19 years of experience working in corrections, substance abuse and mental health field. She holds a BA in Psychology and MS in Criminal Justice. Prior to working for Arkansas Department of Health she was employed at University of Arkansas Medical Sciences – Department of Psychiatry for seven years working with the Sever Barriers Project. She was Assistant Area Manager for Department of Community Corrections – Substance Abuse Treatment providing clinical supervision for counselors in training. Brenda was nominated to the Arkansas Substance Abuse Certification Board in 2012 and appointed to State Board of Examiners of Alcoholism and Drug Abuse in August 2014.

Chad D Morris, PhD

Clinical Psychologist and Professor of Psychiatry at the University of Colorado- School of Medicine, and the Director of the Behavioral Health & Wellness Program and Wellness Leadership Institute

Chad Morris, Ph.D. is a licensed clinical psychologist and Professor of Psychiatry at the University of Colorado- School of Medicine. At CU he is the Director of the Behavioral Health & Wellness Program (BHWP) and Wellness Leadership Institute. BHWP also houses the Rocky Mountain Tobacco Treatment Specialist Program. Dr. Morris is the principal investigator of over 140 projects and studies exploring the effectiveness of organizational, psychosocial, and pharmacologic whole health and tobacco cessation strategies across over 44 states and internationally. Dr. Morris is a seasoned Motivational Interviewing trainer and member of the MI Network of Trainers (MINT). As the Vice President of Spark Inspiration, Dr. Morris also offers corporate wellness solutions.

Ben Udochi, CCS

Ben Udochi is the Assistant Director for Probation & Parole Treatment Services at the Arkansas Community Correction. Professional experience include over 20 years of mental health and substance use disorder counseling with family, juvenile, and clients in the Criminal Justice System. Ben has a Master of Human Relations Degree with emphasis in mental health and substance use disorder counseling from the University of Oklahoma. He is a Licensed Alcoholism & Drug Abuse Counselor, a Certified Clinical Supervisor, and a Certified Tobacco Treatment Specialist. He conducts Behavioral Health Care training topics including Motivational Interviewing.
