Texas leadership academy for wellness and smoking cessation

 Texas was the sixth state to hold a Leadership Academy on Wellness and Smoking Cession. On the evening of January 31 and all day February 1, 2012, thirty-nine leaders in public health, behavioral health, and tobacco control came together for a first-ever Texas initiative focused on reducing smoking prevalence among people with behavioral health disorders.

Oklahoma

Oklahoma leadership academy for wellness and smoking cessation

On April 20-21, 2011, leaders and experts in public health, behavioral health and tobacco control came together to create an action plan for Oklahoma State designed to reduce smoking prevalence among Oklahomans with behavioral health disorders. The summit was supported by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) and Smoking Cessation Leadership Center (SCLC).

North Carolina

North Carolina leadership academy for wellness and smoking cessation

North Carolina was the fifth state to hold a Leadership Academy on Wellness and Smoking Cession. On the evening of August 17th and all day August 18, 2011, forty-two leaders in public health, behavioral health, and tobacco control came together for a first-ever North Carolina initiative focused on reducing smoking prevalence among people with behavioral health disorders.

Maryland

Maryland leadership academy for wellness and smoking cessation 

Maryland was the fourth state to hold a Leadership Academy on Wellness and Smoking Cession. Beginning the evening of May 31st and all day June 1, 2011, leaders in public health, behavioral health and tobacco control came together for a first-ever Maryland initiative focused on reducing smoking prevalence among people with behavioral health disorders.

Arkansas

Arkansas leadership academy for wellness and smoking cessation

Arkansas was the seventh state to hold a Leadership Academy on Wellness and Smoking Cession. On the evening of March 20 and all day March 21, 2012, thirty-six leaders in public health, behavioral health, and tobacco control came together for a first-ever Arkansas initiative focused on reducing smoking prevalence among people with behavioral health disorders.
